Finally, we've got more intel about Bey's twins. According to TMZ, the company that manages the legal trademarks to Beyonce and JAY-Z's names has reportedly filed documents to secure the rights to the names Rumi Carter and Sir Carter, meaning that these could be the names Beyonce and JAY-Z chose for their twins.

Obviously there has been no official confirmation, so once again it’s best to take this news with a grain of salt. However, unlike previous rumors that suggested Beyonce’s twins that had been named Sean and Bea after their parents, the legal angle of this particular scoop makes it seem just a a little more solid. After all, nothing is more serious than securing a legacy for your child, and if you’re a super successful power couple (both of whom just so happen to be talented artists and business moguls), corporate branding is a great way to do that.

Besides, this not the first time one of Beyonce's children has been given their own trademark; as TMZ also reported in May, the family also tried to secure the trademark rights to Blue Ivy Carter’s name earlier this year after failing to do so in a previous legal battle with a company of the same name. The trademark would allow Beyonce and JAY-Z to place their children's names on a number of consumer products; TMZ notes that the trademarks for Rumi and Sir have reportedly been filed for “fragrances, cosmetics, key chains, baby teething rings, strollers, mugs, water bottles, hair ribbons, playing cards, tote bags, sports balls and rattles and novelty items.”

Certainly, no one will know the truth for sure until Beyonce and JAY-Z chose to go public with their children’s names themselves. Beyonce never spoke publicly about her due date and even kept the details of her pregnancy completely secret until she announced it via an elaborate maternity photoshoot on Instagram in February. It stands to reason that she and her husband will continue to keep personal details of their family close to their chest until they’re ready to reveal them — particularly if, as rumors suggest, the babies were born premature. But even that, of course, is something that cannot be confirmed.

Until Bey and Jay feel ready to share their twins with the world, the best thing anyone can do is give them support and let them recover in their own way. And when they do finally share those first photos of their twins, it will be worth the wait.
