Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth are probably the quirkiest, goofiest, most relatable couple to come out of The Bachelorette in a long time. Kaitlyn was the fun loving Canadian who took the reigns on The Bachelorette in 2015 and fell in love with Shawn the personal trainer. They have been engaged for two years now, traveling the world and enjoying life together. They seem even more in love then when Shawn got down on one knee at The Bachelorette mansion. But, will Kaitlyn and Shawn get married in 2017? Absolutely, if someone else does all the work.

The ability to laugh at yourself, especially after going on a reality show, is very important. Kaitlyn and Shawn seem to have a sense of humor about their entire experience on the show and their "long engagement" post-show. The pressure to set a wedding date immediately is high in the Bachelor world and Shawn's pinned tweet makes fun of this. As soon as they got engaged, they began getting questions of when they would wed, how many kids they would have, what retirement home they would eventually settle into (OK, not that last one... yet). The truth is, both are ready to take the next step but are self-professed bad planners.

Kaitlyn spoke to People in January about the ressure to immediately have it all figured out. She said:

"[Wedding plans] are going terrible. You go on the show, you get engaged and then it’s like what’s next? But we don’t really know. We are both the kind of people where we’re terrible at planning anything, whether it be like a trip or a trip to the grocery store! We’re just terrible at planning things together. We’re kind of just like, ‘When it happens, it happens.’ We’re so busy, we don’t have the time to sit down and plan a wedding, but it if someone wants to plan it for us, we’re open! I’d get married tomorrow if someone just said, ‘Show up here at this time.’ "

The hesitancy to walk down the aisle seems to have very little to do with the commitment level between the two and much more to do with bad planning skills. These two already act like an old married couple, they just are an old engaged couple. That could be a thing!

Recently, Shawn posted a sweet Instagram of Kaitlyn to celebrate two years of being together. The caption reads: "I am one lucky guy to have been able to spend the last two years of my life with this beautiful, intelligent, funny, strong, and bad ass woman! Thank you for the greatest two years, thank you for being you."

Two years is a successful relationship, with or without stopping in a church and tying the knot. On her own Instagram, Kaitlyn also celebrated the two year mark. She captioned the photos: "Cheers to the longest engagement ever. I like that we don't feel pressure, I like that we have taken our time, I like that we still don't have a date set, and I kind of like you."

This couple dances to the beat of their own drum and clearly will get married when they want, if they want. Will it be in 2017? Who knows! 2018? Maybe! 2028? Possibly! Shawn and Kaitlyn seem happy in their rhythm and doing their own thing.

Kaitlyn and Shawn will tie the knot on their own time... or if someone sets it up for them. And, whenever it happens, it'll be beautiful and weird, just like them.
