It's officially official, Bachelor Nation. Arie Luyendyk Jr.'s Bachelor season will premiere on Monday, January 1, 2018 at 8 p.m. on ABC, according to Entertainment Weekly. There's no better way to start out the new year and recover from the previous one than by watching the women's limo entrances.

Of course, many longtime Bachelor viewers won't be shocked by the premiere date announcement since The Bachelor has premiered on the first Monday in a January for a long time. Nevertheless, it's still nice to know that it is officially official. Plus, this is the first real announcement since the selection of Arie as the Bachelor. Now it's just time to wait around for the contestant biographies to be posted and for the season itself to start. And soon enough January 2018 will go down in history as JanuArie.

The announcement of Arie's premiere date also means that the fandom is blessed with a new promotional images. And promo images and videos are very needed, because when it comes to Arie, the main thing viewers (new and old) have to reference is from all the way back in 2012 when Arie was the runner-up on Emily Maynard's season of The Bachelorette. The official Bachelor Twitter account shared the new Season 22 poster with the words, "New year. New @ariejr. #TheBachelor premieres Monday, January 1 at 8|7c on ABC!"

Sure, this isn't the first image to promote this season, but it is one of the best. Obviously, Arie just has to do what he is told, but his Halloween promotional video was just not what fans were looking for:

Well, fine, it was perfect up until the mask part.

There will be no better way to recover from New Year's Eve or to just keep the party going by watching Arie's season premiere. There are just so many things to look forward to: It's the return of a fan favorite as the lead for the more seasoned viewers. He's a fresh face for newer fans. Like usual, some of the ladies will have intro packages to show their lives at home. There will be plenty of hilarious limo antics to laugh at. There are going to be lots of dresses to fawn over and critique. Someone will get on the fandom's radar (and Arie's) by receiving the first impression rose. Chris Harrison will introduce himself even though there isn't a single person watching this show that doesn't know who he is.

The start of the season also means the start of new posts from Bachelor Twitter with live tweeting about the show taking over the social media platform. Even the first episode is guaranteed to bless the fans with memes, gifs, and quotes to provide entertainment beyond the episode itself.

Most importantly, fans will get to witness the start of a love story hopefully unfold. Arie fell hard for Emily. He knows that this process (or "journey") really can work for him. There is lots of potential and it's going to make for an interesting season — as it always does. From the people who have been waiting for Arie to be the Bachelor for years to those who had no clue who he even was to even the people who are still bitter that Peter Kraus isn't handing out roses, everyone is going to tune into the season premiere and help transform January into JanuArie. It can't come soon enough.
