Mila Kunis & Ashton Kutcher Are Guesting On 'The Bachelorette'

The Bachelor franchise has many celebrity super fans (including myself, because I am famous in my own head), and they pop up in very many places — on the approximately 30 Jimmy Kimmel Live specials he does a year for The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, on the post-Bachelor In Paradise special After Paradise, etc. — but not many pop up on the actual show itself. Filming is probably hard unless the celebrities are in the Los Angeles area and their appearance can take place before the season whisks the Bachelor or Bachelorette and the contestants off to glamorous, far off places, or Wisconsin. This time around, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher are on The Bachelorette, and I want to know —Do Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher watch The Bachelorette? Or is Chris Harrison calling in a major favor to get them to appear?

Well, it’s definitely the former, not the latter (sorry, Chris Harrison), because Kunis has said in interviews how much she and Kutcher like the show. She told Extra that an off night for her means sprawling “on the couch and watch[ing] really bad television, which rarely happens, but when it does, it feels amazing.” Of what she watches, Kunis said, “When my husband is home, I can't watch any of these shows, so when he's not home, it's Botched, which is banned from the house or any bad reality shows, so it’s Beverly Hills Housewives… something that you literally don’t think about… But if my husband's home, then we watch The Bachelorette and The Bachelor.” Who would have thought that angel investor and actor Ashton Kutcher would be a Bachelor Nation fan? Actually, I can see him loving it and Kunis thinking it’s silly, so I’m glad these two watch together.

And they don’t just watch The Bachelor and The Bachelorette —they go to Paradise with The Bachelor every summer, too. In 2015, Kutcher posted a selfie on his Twitter that Kunis made him take, mostly because she thinks he has a strong likeness to former Bachelorette and Bachelor In Paradise contestant Jared Haibon. Personally, I don’t see it, but if your wife wants you to take a selfie, you should probably just take the selfie. We were all Jared that summer, broken and beaten down from hours of Ashley Iaconetti crying at us.

We’ve established the Bachelor love in the Kunis/Kutcher household, so what should we expect as they join Rachel’s date? According to ABC, Kunis and Kutcher will sponsor a date in which a group of Rachel’s suitors judge the guys’ performance in a “husband material obstacle course.” Now, I don’t know what that means, either, but I have to think that Rachel’s chosen contestants will have to cook, clean, care for a baby, and do other household tasks while wearing only a pair of boxer briefs (each season, there is one Bachelor or Bachelorette date that involves wearing basically nothing, and this could be it).

Either way, the addition of two famous people to this season of The Bachelorette (only in Week 2!) will be a fun one, and I’m looking forward to seeing Kutcher and Kunis put the guys through the wringer in order to compete for Rachel’s heart.
