Nothing makes the entertainment world abuzz quite like a super random celebrity pairing. One such pairing occurred when 19-year-old Bella Thorne was spotted with 34-year-old Scott Disick. How did that happen? Well, rumor mills kicked into high gear, but what appeared to be a fling was quickly dismissed. Now, Thorne has opened up about Disick and their time together in Cannes, and it sounds like he is exactly how you'd expect him to be.

In an interview with Complex, Thorne shared a bit about how she met Disick, and unsurprisingly, it involved a party. She said,

“I throw a lot of house parties, and that’s how I meet these people. They come to my house party and they’re like, ‘Yo, I heard you’re having a party,’ and I’m just like, ‘Okay, French Montana. Hi, French.’ That’s how I met Scott — he came to a house party of mine [with French] and I was like ‘hi’.”

Well, that sounds pretty straightforward to me. I guess things escalated fairly quickly because next thing you know, Thorne and her sister, Dani, were on a flight with Disick to Cannes.

But just a few days later, the whole thing was over with a simple tweet:

What happened between the two not-so-promising lovebirds? Well, Thorne told Complex,

“Scott is really nice, sweet, charming. I don’t drink, and he really drinks a lot. And it just ended up ... I just wasn’t down. I was like, ‘I gotta leave.’ We were [at Cannes] a day and a half before I was like I’m booking my flight and leaving. I love to go out and have fun, I love to f*cking dance, but I just don’t party hardcore like that and it was way too much for me. I was like, ‘Woah, this is not the way I live my life, bruh.’”

The fact that Thorne, a teenage girl who is fiercely independent and loves to party thinks that Disick parties too much is very telling. After years of attempting to "settle down" and concern from the Kardashian family, it looks like Disick is still at it. (Bustle reached out to Disick's rep for any comment, but did not receive a response.)

It looks like Thorne emerged from the situation in a very mature way, and she seems very happy with her decisions:

“It’s hard because everybody’s like, no don’t comment on it. But I try to use [social media] to speak up because it just genuinely irks me. I’m just like, ‘I can’t believe I’m reading this right now, like this is absurd. You sketchy-ass b*tches. Where’d you hear that?’”

After this whole hoopla, Thorne sounds collected and ready to move on. She recently told Entertainment Tonight about Disick, "We're chillin', we're friends, we're cool. I literally just saw him, so it's literally all chill."

I think it's awesome that Thorne is so self-assured. She is watching out for herself and doing her thing, which is all she can do.
