Even More 'Big Hero 6' Is Happening

When Disney XD heads to San Fransokyo later on this year, it looks like the channel will be posted up in the fictional city for a while. On Tuesday, Disney XD announced that Big Hero 6 will get a second season. Yes, months before the series premiere even airs, the follow-up to the Academy Award-winning, Marvel-inspired movie already scored a second batch of episodes. On a scale of one to 10, how would you rate your excitement?

In a statement, Disney XD senior vice president programming and general manager Marc Buhaj said the following about Big Hero 6:

"Mark [McCorkle], Bob [Schooley] and Nick [Filippi] have delivered a dynamic adventure series that follows the Big Hero 6 superhero team, led by audience favorites Hiro and Baymax. We are honored to have the opportunity to further expand the elaborate world and engaging characters of 'Big Hero 6 The Series' with this early second season order."

Like the 2014 flick, Big Hero 6: The Series follows the adventures of a young whiz named Hiro and an inflatable robot named Baymax. The show stars Maya Rudolph, Jamie Chung, Scott Adsit, Ryan Potter, Genesis Rodriguez, Khary Payton, Brooks Wheelan, Alan Tudyk, David Shaughnessy, and Stan Lee. The first season of Big Hero 6 will premiere on Disney XD this fall.

Want to watch the Big Hero 6 cast try their hand (for once in my life, that pun was not intended, but hey I am not mad at it) at Baymax’s fist-bump?

If there was ever something to bah-a-la-la-la about, it’s this Big Hero: The Series Season 2 news.
