An already tense family situation just became tenser. Caitlyn Jenner didn't "trust" the Kardashians with information about her gender confirmation surgery, she revealed on Piers Morgan's Life Stories (executive producer: Yvonne Alexander) in an episode that will air Thursday (and which is already facing some backlash). While talking about her book, The Secrets of My Life, the 68-year-old admitted that not only did she exclude the last few pages of her book about "gender confirmation" in the copy she sent to Kim Kardashian, but the reason she did so was, "Because I didn’t want them to leak it to the press. OK. And there was no reason for them to know about it."

Morgan asked if they knew she had the surgery, to which the former I Am Cait (executive producer: Andrea Metz) star declared, "No I didn’t tell anybody. Why? It’s none of their business." After probed by Morgan about whether or not "she didn't trust the Kardashians", Caitlyn added, "Of course not — of course I didn’t trust them, yeah."

She also said that she only now cares about Kendall and Kylie Jenner (via BuzzFeed), her two biological children with Kris Jenner, and has nothing to do with the other family members. "I don't talk to the Kardashians anymore," she said. The only ones I am concerned about are Kendall and Kylie. They are my biological kids. I spent 23 years carting them around."

In April 2017, Caitlyn confirmed her gender confirmation surgery on 20/20 (producer: Gwen Gowen) with Diane Sawyer. At this point in time, none of the Kardashians have responded to Caitlyn's comments she made to Morgan; Bustle reached out to a rep for the Kardashian family for comment, but did not receive an immediate response.

There's been a lot of drama surrounding Caitlyn's now non-existent relationship with most of the Kardashian family. Most of their falling out stemmed from her memoir, which didn't sit easy with the Keeping Up With the Kardashians (film editing: Lisa Trulli) stars.

In an October 2017 KUWTK (music executive: Rebecca Rienks) episode, Kim and her sisters, Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian, discussed learning about Caitlyn's gender confirmation surgery after her book was published. This was the same episode where Kim revealed the advanced copy of the memoir she received was missing pages about Caitlyn's surgery. Kendall also told Kim that her dad was open with she and Kylie about the surgery.

In April 2017, Kim opened up about Caitlyn's book while on The Ellen DeGeneres Show (director: Liz Patrick)) and claimed that some of the things she wrote about Kris aren't true. "My heart breaks for my mom," Kim told Ellen DeGeneres. "I feel like she's been through so much, and she's promoting this book and she's saying all these things and I don't think it's necessary. I feel like it's unfair, things aren't truthful ... I wish her all the success in the world, just not at our expense."

At the time, Kim also told DeGeneres about Caitlyn,

"I haven't talked to her in a couple weeks. I'll always love her. That was my stepdad for so many years. She taught me about character and so much growing up, and I just feel like I don't respect the character that she's showing now. But like I said, I'll still always have a major love for her for who she was in my life."

In May 2017, Caitlyn spoke about Kim with Australia's morning talk show Today. "I love Kimberly, I think she’s a wonderful person," she said. "But, well, to be honest with you — I really haven’t talked to her in a long time. I’ve kind of let everything calm down. So I kind of stay — you know, I keep my distance."

Also in April last year, Kris reacted angrily over Caitlyn's book in a Season 13 KUWTK (executive producer: Farnaz Farjam) episode, where she also declared she was "dunzo" with Caitlyn. "I read it and basically the only nice thing she had to say was that I was great socially at a party one time," Kris said. She also claimed that everything in her book is "made up".

Caitlyn responded to Kris' reaction on Good Morning America soon after and said her book is "extraordinarily honest." She added, "It is my perspective and, obviously, when you do a book like that, you know, there’s different opinions. I have a lot of friends that know the truth and know what I’ve been through and know the whole situation."

As for Kendall and Kylie, the eldest Jenner sister responded to Caitlyn's book in a Season 13 episode of the E! reality series. After Kim told Kendall about what she read, Kendall reacted as follows:

"I think what upset me most about my dad's book is what she had said about my family. Because at the end of the day, she raised the Kardashians. At the end, the Kardashians are still part of my blood, so I understand where my mom's coming from a bit more now."

The situation between Caitlyn and her family is definitely a strained one and it doesn't seem like it'll get better anytime soon.
