Inconceivable — it's been 30 years since the '80s classic film The Princess Bride was released in theaters. The beloved movie stars Cary Elwes as Westley and Robin Wright as Princess Buttercup, who find love in and iconic — and highly quotable — fairy tale adventure. On Saturday, April 8, Cary Elwes wished Robin Wright a happy birthday with an adorable throwback photo on his Instagram account. The snap shows the duo in costume and on set, probably making the photo from when they were shooting The Princess Bride back in the '80s. In the image, Wright is wearing the red dress in which Buttercup gets kidnapped — and whisked away on a memorable journey.

"Happy Birthday Robin," Elwes wrote in the photo caption. "You were a princess when we met, and now you're lovelier than any queen." He ended his caption with a request to his fans: "Please join me in wishing her the very best." And as fans know, there's only one possible response to give any request from Westley and Princess Buttercup: as you wish. Well, Wright hasn't responded yet, according to E! News, but give her time. Since The Princess Bride, the actor has been super busy. She stars in Netflix's House of Cards and can be seen in the upcoming films Wonder Woman and Blade Runner 2049.

Meanwhile, Elwes has been in numerous movie and TV projects, including We Don't Belong Here, The Gettysburg Address, and Workaholics. Even though their careers have seemed to go in different directions, the former co-stars have reunited at least once since their days in Florin — according to E! News, the duo celebrated the film's 25th anniversary together at the 2012 New York Film Festival.

It's so awesome to see Wright and Elwes still keeping in touch all these years after their Princess Bride characters found true love.
