As if the world wasn't already smiling favorably upon us when it delivered Tom Hardy reading a bedtime story, we can now look forward to Chris Evans reading a bedtime story, too. Evans got on board the celebrity bedtime story trend for CBeebies, a children's television channel in the UK. From the teasers, it would seem that Evans is going to be reading a superhero-themed story to children in the UK. Although we should take a moment to get real: it may be aimed at kids, but you're probably going to watch this, too. This looks too delightful not to watch, if I'm being perfectly honest.

According to the Youtube description accompanying this promo and teaser for Evans' episode of Evening CBeebies Bedtime story, the book the Captain America actor will be reading is called Even Superheroes Have Bad Days. Amazon describes this actually-adorable children's story as such: "All kids have trouble getting a grip on their emotions, sometimes — even young superheroes! But what do they do when they’re having a bad day?" Needless to say, even imagining how Evans will breathe life into this story is just about the best mental activity you can indulge in right now. Go on, give it a whirl or just watch this preview (or both).

At first blush, it's not tough to see why Evans was tapped to read a bedtime story for CBeebies. His voice is calm and kind. He has the face of what I imagine an angel's face to be. He is also absolutely the kind of actor who can talk to children without it sounding weird or unnerving. In short: this may be his finest role to date, in my opinion.

The more I think about it, the more I am convinced that this should become a rite of passage for all Hollywood stars. I mean, what could be a more endearing and lovely career move than reading bedtime stories to children? If Evans and Hardy can do it, then surely there's plenty of other actors out there who could knock it out of the park just as easily.
