Fans collectively wept back in August when Chris Pratt and Anna Faris officially announced they were "legally separating." Since then, both parties have been tight-lipped about most details surrounding their split, and Pratt has even taken some time away from social media for the past three months. But on Friday night, Pratt returned to Instagram for the first time since the split announcement with a sweet post that focuses on the love he has for his family.

The post in question is a photo of Pratt, his older brother Cully, and his 5-year-old son Jack posing in front of a poster of Chris Hemsworth as his character in the new film, Thor: Ragnarok. The three apparently had a guys night out and went to catch a showing of the movie on Friday. Pratt captioned the photo,

"HOLY CRAP!! THOR RAGNAROK IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! We just laughed our asses off!!! So proud to be part of the Marvel universe."

Though he's been active on Twitter, Pratt has taken some time off from posting on Instagram since announcing his split from Faris. His new post is pretty simple, but it's nice to see that he's in good spirits and focusing on his family in light of the former couple's current situation.

The photo is a good reminder that just because he and Faris are no longer in a relationship doesn't mean for one second that he'll ever stop being a family man. Pratt wrote the foreword for Faris' book Unqualified, which she officially released in late October, and made clear that the two would be "just fine," citing the plans they have to move on and "amicably co-parent a human." That obviously isn't the first time Pratt and Faris stressed the importance of having a good outlook on the situation for the sake of their son. The actor made mention of it when he originally announced the news of the split via Facebook a few months ago. He wrote in a post on Aug. 6,

"Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried hard for a long time, and we're really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward."

He continued, "We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another." Pratt and Faris were married for eight years before breaking things off this past summer.

Of course, his Kodak moment with his brother and son isn't necessarily the only nod to family in the picture. Pratt went out and supported his fellow Marvel member Hemsworth and mentioned in the photo's caption how proud he is to "be part of the Marvel universe." The actor wrapped production on the upcoming Marvel film, Avenger: Infinity War, in which he's set to play Peter Quill, aka Star-Lord. The film is set to make its way into theaters by May 2018. Pratt has obviously been private about the recent split, and it wouldn't be too shocking if he's been surrounding himself with close friends, family members, and even his Marvel family to comfort him.

Hopefully this means that Pratt is back on Instagram for good, and will be back to share a few late posts from the past few months, specifically any and all that he may have captured from his time on set for the new Avengers film. But of course, fans would definitely understand if he decided to take another hiatus from the 'gram.
