Beauty Vloggers Are Saying ColourPop's New Release Is The Best Dupe For This Expensive Shadow

You'll be hard pressed to find a person who doesn't appreciate saving money on, well, anything. From BOGO deals to promo codes, everyone loves a cheaper product. Now, one of the internet's most beloved beauty products may have a spot-on dupe. According to beauty gurus, you could be saving serious cash by switching out ColourPop Super Nova shadows with Stila's Magnificent Metals.

How good is this dupe? Well, you have to see for yourself.

If you're a fan of beauty vloggers, you've probably seen everybody and their cousin's sister's best friend rocking some seriously festive glitter on their lids. From blinding silver to gorgeous rose gold, Stila's Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadows are the product of the moment. The $24 shadows versatile, blendable, and popular AF. In fact, they've received shoutouts in Jaclyn Hill's current favorites and been declared hot by Tati Westbrook, aka glamlifeguru. The liquid glitter, however, may now have a bit of a budget friendly rival.

ColourPop launched their Super Nova Liquid Shadows two weeks ago, and they're basically Kira Kira in a tube. The best news? These glitzy hues are only $7. Yes, you read that right. ColourPop's bananas low prices are here to stay, despite their entrance into Sephora.

With products so similar, comparison was inevitable — and for the $7 Super Nova Shadows, it was a look at how they perform versus Stila's $24 Magnificant Metals. Vloggers like MannyMUA and Sylvia Gani have done direct comparisons, and the results are pretty incredible.

With a 75 percent discount, it makes sense that people would be comparing the two products. While some may stay loyal to the Stila's Magnificent Metals, it's hard to resist such a steep decrease in price.

According to MannyMUA (who's real name is Manny Gutierrez), fans of Stila and ColourPop should be shook over how similar these two products are. While not a completely flawless alternative, the price difference can cover a multitude of sins. When Gutierrez tested the Stila shadow on one eye and the ColourPop on the other, there was no major visible difference. However, after wearing, the ColourPop shadow did have a bit more fall out that landed on both Gutierrez's lashes and cheek.

While he did maintain Stila's superiority, he also recommended ColourPop as a great affordable alternative.

Gutierrez isn't the only beauty guru to make the comparison. Sylvia Gani rocked the ColourPop shadows and loved them. Not only did they look comparable on Gani, but she noted the insane price difference between the two. Plus, she astutely pointed out that the cheaper ColourPop formula actually contains more product than Stila.

However, in her description box, Gani does note that the ColourPop shadows did not have the staying power of the Stila Magnificent Metals.

If you love glitter, the consensus seems to be that while Stila's glittering shadows do out perform ColourPop, it's a narrow margin. Since the margin of error between the two products is so slim, the choice is yours.

While there are pros and cons to each product, ColourPop's Super Nova Shadows seem to be a true alternative to Stila's Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow. Depending on your hue of choice, you may still need to snag Stila's shadow even if you are look to save some dollars. But hey, there's nothing wrong with owning both to test which formula works best for you.

Grab your wallet, go out, and rock that glitter.
