The 89th Academy Awards ceremony was a show that will be remembered for years to come. Mainly because of the mix-up that caused Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty to announce the wrong Best Picture winner, a moment that had all of us saying, "Oh my God, did that really just happen?" But there were a lot of memorable moments from the 2017 Oscars, like Lin-Manuel Miranda's empowering rap, or when 98-year old Katherine Johnson (who was portrayed by Taraji P. Henson in Hidden Figures) appeared on stage, or the fact that Mahershala Ali became the first Muslim actor to win an Academy Award. Dev Patel was nominated up against Ali for Best Supporting Actor, and although he didn't take home a statue, he did become part of a viral moment when users on Twitter collectively suggested that Patel and Andrew Garfield should play boyfriends in a film because of how adorable they looked while embracing during the show.

It was a blink and you miss it moment, but the cameras flashed a shot of Patel and Garfield holding on to each other before cutting to a commercial. Although brief, users on Twitter quickly turned the clip into an animated GIF so that it could live on for eternity.

Does it get any cuter? I mean, just look at the way that Patel is gazing into Garfleid's eyes.

Of course, the "get you someone" tweets poured in.

Naturally, a ton of people on Twitter are hoping that the two will play boyfriends in a new movie, or perhaps remake one...

It's fun to joke and share memes, and Patel and Garfield's charming embrace is totally giving me legit 'ship goals. However, when it comes to the two possibly playing a gay couple in a film I do want to point out that both actors identify as straight and have had public relationships with female actors. Although the industry is improving, there's definitely still a lack of diversity among roles in movies, especially when it comes to the LGBTQ community. So although I support the adorableness of the photos, I can't fully get behind the suggestion that the two portray lovers in a movie.

That being said, I could totally stare at photos of Patel and Garfield all day long.

Here's to finding someone who looks at you the same way Patel looks at Garfield!
