All the ladies who truly feel love for their besties, throw your hands up at me, because Drew Barrymore posted a tribute to Cameron Diaz on Instagram that will give you serious feels. On Friday night, Barrymore shared the low-key image of herself and Diaz looking chill and content together, along with the hashtag #sisters. And here's hoping you have your own best friend on speed dial, because the caption is full of the sort of sentiment you'll want to share with your favorite girlfriend ASAP. In the post, Barrymore wrote,

"#sisters. getting out of your house with your girlfriend. And being a whole person, with your sister. Remember to spend a moment with the ones you love in your busy life. She has made me feel beyond beautiful. Always has. Always will. #thankgodforyourfriends. They rejuvenate and confirm everything."

Of course, the image is also something of a Charlies Angels reunion between Barrymore and Diaz, considering they starred together in the 2000 movie and its 2003 sequel. But the two actors have actually been friends far longer. In an interview with Access Hollywood, Diaz revealed that she met Barrymore "when she was 14 and I was 16." Diaz explained, "She was working at this coffee shop or this soda shop, and I used to go hang out there and we became friendly. Once I started acting, she (said), 'Oh, I remember you!' and we used to hang out and we became friends."

While this latest post from Barrymore is adorable, it isn't the first time their friendship has been celebrated in public. In 2014, for instance, Diaz celebrated the success of Barrymore's photography book with an Instagram post featuring the caption, "I am so proud of my dear sweet beautiful friend @drewbarrymore for spreading, finding, sharing and inspiring SO much love in the world. That her book #finditineverything is on the New York Times Best Sellers List!!! CONGRATS POO POO!!" She calls her "Poo Poo," you guys. Poo Poo. That's the sort of nickname that only a true best friend for life could get away with.

Then, in a 2016 interview with Good Housekeeping, Barrymore divulged why Diaz is the perfect friend. She said,

"If you are in scary prison in the middle of nowhere, call Cameron. She’ll get you out. If you’re looking for the best dinner-cooking partner and watching- TV-on-the-couch friend, call her. If someone is in a medical situation, call her! She’s the most loyal, fierce, fun, cozy friend. "

Honestly, this should become part of everyone's best friend checklist. If they won't drop everything to bust you out of prison, cook dinner with you, kick it on the couch, and be there for a medical emergency, then are they really your best friend? Probably not. At least not by the standards of the Diaz and Barrymore lifelong alliance, which some might argue is the modern default for all sustainable friendship goals.

So, go call your best friend right this second. Because Barrymore is absolutely right, a great friendship does have the power to rejuvenate, and your best pal absolutely deserves to hear that truth from you. And here's to you Barrymore and Diaz — may your beautiful friendship continues to thrive and rejuvenate for decades to come. Now, throw your hands up at me.
