Ed Sheeran Is On 'Game Of Thrones'

No, your eyes and your ears did not deceive you. Ed Sheeran sings in his Game of Thrones cameo as a soldier that Arya happens upon in the woods. Of course he had to show off his much beloved pipes with a short song. After all, if you are going to have Sheeran in your show, he better be singing — because, otherwise, was he even there?

Fans of both Game of Thrones and of Sheeran have been teased for a while now that he would be making a special little cameo in Season 7. But the singer and the cast and showrunners had stayed tight-lipped on what exactly his scene would entail. But now we finally have the cameo that we have been waiting for. Showrunners Weiss and Benioff told USA Today that they have been eagerly and secretly attempting to get Sheeran in a Game of Thrones cameo scene with Maisie Williams, who plays Arya, for a while because she is a huge fan of Sheeran. Unfortunately, schedules were initially a problem and the cameo took a little longer to come together. But it looks like everything worked out in the end, and fans got a big kick out of things.

Game of Thrones really set a high bar with the Season 7 premiere, so I am definitely looking forward to seeing what the show pulls off in the remainder of the season.
