If you’re a fan of the app The Infatuation — or its famous Instagram hashtag #eeeeeats — then you are going to love its recent announcement. At The Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, Calif. on May 20, The Infatuation will host EEEEEATSCON, its very first food festival. Even better, this will be a food festival that rivals other food festivals, simply because it will be serving actual meals (no, not small bites or sips) to those attending.

Not familiar with The Infatuation? Well if you consider yourself a foodie, then you’re going to want to download this app ASAP. The Infatuation is the restaurant resource that you’ve always wanted. Sure, there are other resource empires like Zagat or Yelp, but The Infatuation specifically stands out because the reviews and resources are brutally honest, real, and written by very normal people like you and me. It also has an app, a website, and more than 22 Instagram accounts. Oh, and that popular #eeeeeats Instagram hashtag you always tag with your food porn pics? Yup, that’s all thanks to The Infatuation.

Co-founder and CEO of The Infatuation Chris Stang introduced EEEEEATSCON on Medium, and gave some perspective on why this particular festival will be one for “the next generation.” Along with the desire to simply fill an airplane hanger with people and food, Stang let readers know to expect “a bunch of great restaurants from L.A. and beyond, some of our favorite musicians, many ridiculous places to take pictures of your #EEEEEATS, and a full day of panels and keynote speeches from people in the food world that we think are inspiring.” So basically, make sure to have your phone juiced up and your best filters ready for some prime social media game.

Restaurants participating in the first ever EEEEEATSCON, according to Stang, include “Chi Spacca, Jon & Vinny’s, Salazar, Shake Shack, Mr. Holmes Bakehouse, New York pizza favorite Pasquale Jones, The Nomad Truck, special experiences from Nighthawk: Breakfast Bar and Tinfoil: Liquor & Grocery, Badmaash, Fat Dragon, Katsuya, Afters Ice Cream, Sweetfin Poke, Yeasty Boys, Ramen Hood, Dream Pops, Matcha Bar, Maple Block Meat Co., and Eataly’s first ever appearance in Los Angeles.” As for musicians, the famous New York duo The Knocks will headline the event, as well as Lizzo.

“It’s about eating good food, having a good time, getting inspired, and maybe even meeting some new friends,” Stang writes. “If you post a few photos, even better. You know what hashtag to use.”

Drooling? Then you better book your tickets, pack your bags, and your phone chargers — because I doubt you’ll want to miss the food festival for the next generation.
