The Best Caption Ideas For Your Fall Instagrams

by Kaitlyn Wylde

The Autumnal equinox is set to occur on Sept. 22, so you know what that means: before any of us know it, it's going to be full-blown fall. That means the sweaters will come out of the depths of our closets, jackets will once again be slung around the backs of every chair, and weekend nature trips will become very necessary. I mean, do the leaves even change colors if we're not out there in the country to witness it and post it to Instagram in the perfect foliage photo with a literary fall caption? A contemporary philosopher might say not.

Getting your fall on is a process that occurs both offline and online. But if we're being totally honest, one of the best parts of fall are all the amazing Instagram opportunities. From the back-to-school fashion, to the day trips, to the hikes, to the Halloween parties, to the totally thematic home decor — there's a lot about fall that's worth sharing on social media. But what's a great picture without a great caption? Don't miss out on a great Instagram opportunity simply because you can't think of a good caption. That struggle is all too real.

Here I've put together a list of some of my favorite quotes that you might want to consider storing for your next no-caption Instagram post. It's a mix of lyrics, quotes, and lines from autumn-themed poetry — my favorite:

"I don't feel like Spring. I feel like a warm, red autumn." — Marilyn Monroe

"Life starts all over again, when it gets crisp in the fall." — F. Scott Fitzgerald
