The last six seasons of Scandal have totally flown by, so it's hard to believe that the show is already celebrating 100 episodes — and giving fans a special treat in the process. Thursday night's episode explores what everyone's lives would be like if Olivia had never rigged Fitz's presidential election, and after seeing that version of reality, it's pretty clear there would have been just as much drama. In Scandal's alternate reality, Fitz divorced Mellie and married Olivia, and it wasn't the fairytale they expected.

First of all, at the time, Olivia was totally dating Leo (yes, that Leo, and I was just as sketched out by this as you were), but Fitz didn't let that stop him. He split up with Mellie, rushed to her apartment, and popped the question, and although she hesitated for a second, she eventually said yes. The wedding was gorgeous, because duh, this is Olivia Pope, and Abby acted as her maid of honor as Huck walked her down the aisle. It did look like that Vermont fairytale... for that scene, anyway.

It wasn't long before the honeymoon was over and Fitz and Olivia were at each other's throats. Fitz felt like a disappointment for not winning the presidency; and Olivia knew that he didn't have a chance, since she would have had to rig it for him to win. Basically, it was a mess.

Before long, Fitz was drinking all the time and Olivia was ready to throw in the towel. Divorce papers were even thrown around, and even though Fitz was the host of the successful news talk show, The Grant Project, it wasn't enough for him without the presidency.

The good news? Eventually, they worked it out, and love conquered all. Unfortunately, it's never been that simple in real life, but there is that chance we'll get to see Fitz and Liv working together in the White House again, figuring out who the next president will be. Can they go that long without fighting? We'll see!
