'Fuller House' Is Renewed For Season 4 & Fans Are So Excited

Are we finally going to see the grand D.J. Tanner-Fuller–Steve Hale romance fans have been dying for? The couple might get their chance at the spotlight, because TVLine is reporting that Netflix renewed Fuller House for Season 4. The streaming giant's reboot of the classic '90s family sitcom is set to pick where the third season left off, which is good news for faithful watchers. SPOILERS ahead for Season 3 of Fuller House.

This next season promises to possibly be the most nostalgic yet, with even more appearances from the original series' adult cast (Bob Saget, John Stamos, Dave Coulier, Lori Loughlin). According to TVLine this next season sees the Tanner family dad Danny, Uncle Jesse, Aunt Becky, and Joey all move back to San Francisco, and they're bringing their kids with them. So yes, that means more appearances from Jesse and Becky's sweet little adopted daughter Pamela. It also means more synchronized — and annoying — silliness from Joey's four children Lewis, Joan, Jerry, and Phyliss (they're all named after famous comedians from yesteryear, in case you haven't caught on).

The main action, however, will still center around the adult Tanner family daughters D.J. (Candace Cameron) and Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin). Andrea Barber's Kimmy Gibbler also shares top-billing, and in this season she's pregnant and serving as a surrogate for Stephanie and her boyfriend Jimmy, who happens to be Kimmy's brother. Because Stephanie had three viable embryos implanted, it's likely we're in for another set of twins or even triplets. It's all very Phoebe in Friends Season 4 — not that I'm complaining.

As for D.J. and Steve, the two lovebirds will be dating long-distance, at least in the beginning of the season. Even though they broke up with the respective partners to be together in Season 3, it's not automatic wedding bells. Steve, who now works as a podiatrist, has been hired as a foot specialist for the Los Angeles Lakers — an opportunity he was willing to pass up to be with his high school sweetheart, but D.J. told him to go for it during last season's finale episode. But don't worry, they're not letting this roadblock put a full halt to their relationship. As Steve told D.J., ""Six months from now — you and me, it's on like Donkey Kong." Have mercy!

So what else is in store for the next season? While not much more is official yet, you can definitely assume that Season 4 will include plenty more Full House Easter eggs and references to keep the fans of the original series on their toes. There's also bound to be some totally amazing guest stars that will make any '80s or '90s kid's heart go pitter-patter. Seriously, can New Kids on the Block just stop by again, already?

Unfortunately, Michelle "You Got It Dude" Tanner is still notably missing from the cast list. It seems that Ashley and Mary Kate Olsen have said "cut it out" to any guest appearance. Still, even without the youngest Tanner sister, many fans were delighted to read the news of the series renewal. They took the announcement to Twitter where they celebrated:

They were simply jumping (or dancing) for joy.

Really, the reactions were intense.

They also offered some recommendations:

Even some very pointed recommendations.

Others were impatient for even more episodes.

There's no word yet on when Season 4 will start streaming, or how many episodes Netflix ordered for the season. Though Season 1 and 2 both had 13 episodes, last season had a whopping 18 episodes. Each season has also debuted at a different time of year, which makes it difficult to predict when Netflix will decide to drop the new installment. Regardless of when it happens however, expect that long-time fans will be thrilled with the return of the Tanner family and friends.
