Here's How You Can Live In Harry Potter's Childhood Home

If you've been considering a move across the pond, now's the time to make your move — because a very important house from Harry Potter is up for sale. Harry Potter's childhood home in Godric's Hollow crops up a few times throughout the series. Most notably, it's where Voldemort tried and failed to kill baby Harry, setting off the entire chain of events that took place during the seven Harry Potter books. In the movie, the cottage is shown as having been destroyed from the struggle between Voldemort and the Potters, but in real life, it's still very much standing. It's called the De Vere house, and if you've got a cool $1.3 million to spare, it can be yours.

The house is situated in Lavenham, a village in the county of Suffolk. Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson never actually filmed there; instead, they filmed in a studio and used a green screen to replicate the Suffolk countryside in the background. So you may not be walking on the same ground that your beloved actors once walked on, but if you buy this house, you will get a taste of the luxurious life the Potters must have lived.

We know that the Potters had a ton of family money, but seriously, their home was gorgeous. The De Vere house has six bedrooms, a reception hall, drawing room, sitting room, dining room, and two kitchens.
