It's still a struggle to get over the fact that the 2016 election didn't allow us the chance to see our first female president, but she's still an awesome role model... much like a certain comic book hero. Over the weekend, Hillary and Bill Clinton saw a private screening of Wonder Woman, and it's hard to imagine a movie that would have been more appropriate for her to have taken in — or a more appropriate theater for her to have visited. And according to the photographic evidence that has surfaced of their night at the movies, it seems like they really enjoyed it. Duh — it's Wonder Woman.

On Sunday, the New York location of the Alamo Drafthouse tweeted a photo of Hillary and Bill at the theater from their visit on Saturday night, and everyone looked super psyched in the picture. Of course, two of those people were there to see an amazing movie, while the rest got to meet a former first couple, so their grins are all understandable.

It's hard to ignore the fact that Clinton herself is practically Wonder Woman, but the similarities between her and Diana Prince aren't even the coolest part of this event. Even more perfect than the movie she saw? The chain she decided to see it in, considering the fact that it recently made headlines.

Back when Wonder Woman was released in May, the Austin, Texas branch of the Alamo Drafthouse hosted a controversial women-only screening of the movie. After they announced the showing, the chain received a lot of backlash for their decision, but they held strong. Seems like an awesome company for Clinton to support, right?

And as People pointed out, she's been waiting a long time to see this movie. In a video she filmed for Women In Film's Crystal + Lucy Awards, she said:

"I haven’t seen Wonder Woman yet, but I’m going to, in part because it’s directed by the fabulous Patty Jenkins. Something tells me that a movie about a strong, powerful woman fighting to save the world from a massive international disaster is right up my alley."

That sounds about right. And even though Clinton hasn't shared her review of the film, it really does seem like one she would have enjoyed.

Clinton may not have become the presidential superhero she seemed destined to be, but there's no doubt she'll keep fighting the good fight anyway — and that's something that Wonder Woman herself would be totally proud of.
