This Is How To Use The Liquid Version Of NARS' Orgasm Blush

Even a beloved product deserves a makeover, an update, or an addition to the family. NARS' Orgasm is one of the most popular cheek colors of the new millennium. It's a peachy pink shade that looks good on everyone and gives good glow to all skin tones. NARS Orgasm has been translated into liquid blush form and it's going to be a gamechanger once it cruises into Sephora one June 1. But there are some tips regarding how to use this fluid formula, which costs $30, so that you get the most out of it.

Full disclosure: I received press samples of liquid Orgasm. It comes packaged in a square, frosted bottle and looks like an oversized nail polish in size and shape. When I removed the cap, I unwittingly unscrewed the top and the pump. It looked like a nail polish brush applicator... but without the bristles.

I dabbed a few drops on my fingers from the bottom of the pump, as though it were an applicator, and smoothed it on the high points of my cheeks after I had lightly dusted a powder foundation over my face to even everything out. I liked applying it this way, but it's more than fine to use the pump design as is, without unscrewing the top.

Whatever the case, you need to be super ginger and use only a tiny amount of liquid Orgasm, because a little truly goes a long, long, looooong way. If you use more than two drops, you will end up wasting product since that's too much. I blended it out with my fingers for a diffused look.

I set the blush with a few spritzes of makeup setting spray — in this case, I opted for NYX's Matte Finish Setting Spray, which prevents makeup migration and abolishes shine. The fact that you only need to use a tiny drop of Liquid Orgasm means the bottle will last and last.

NARS recommends using the liquid Orgasm blush, which is a sheer pink with golden shimmer, a la carte or layering it over the powder version for a bolder, brighter effect. It really depends on how much you want to get that "I just got busy" glow created solely by products and not by a sesh your significant other!

You can also buff and blend the blush with a beautyblender if you wish. The formula is silky and blends like a dream. It's as though the tools don't matter.
