It's been a few months since Ben and Lauren announced their split, so is Ben Higgins dating anyone now that he's single again? It's worth noting that Bushnell is rumored to be dating Devon Antin at the moment. And if there's anything that seeing an ex move on with someone else achieves, it's to push you into wanting to move on yourself. Whether that's happened to the former Bachelor personality or not yet, however, is still up for speculation, as it still appears as though Higgins is single following his split from Bushnell.

On an episode of his and Ashley Laconetti's iHeartRadio show, Almost Famous, Higgins made the heartbreaking disclosure that dating isn't something that's coming easily to him. Higgins said:

If I were to kiss somebody right now in my life, it would hold a lot of weight. It would be really hard for me. Right now, for me to kiss anybody … my chest kind of gets tight. I know that’s really difficult for me.

However, he also revealed how a pastor talking "about heartbreak and breakups and how you move forward and move on," had inspired him to take the time he needed following his split from Bushnell before dating again. Higgins explained, "He recommended you take a considerable amount of time in this part of life where you’re exiting out of a breakup and you’re broken to find yourself." Which sounds sensible, especially so soon following the end of his relationship with Lauren.

Less than a week following the announcement of his split from Bushnell, there were rumors that Higgins was dating Laconetti, his Almost Famous co-host. The two were reported as having attended a Bryan Adams concert together by TMZ, which fueled the speculation. However, these rumors were vehemently denied by both parties. Laconetti told US Magazine that they're "totally just friends," while Higgins said, "Ashley is great. She’s [just] a good friend and a great cohost," during an interview with Ryan Seacrest.

Since then, Higgins' love life has appeared quiet, and for good reason — he definitely appears to be genuinely single right now. During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Laconetti even confirmed Higgins' status and said, "he's very single ... He's mostly home and hanging out with his guy friends." Which, let's face it, is exactly the sort of recovery that everyone needs after a tough breakup. Just the comfort of home, the healing of time, and the pure joy that comes with hanging out with your favorite pals.

Higgins sounds like he isn't dating anyone right now, and appears to be taking it slow until he eventually decides to date someone. And that's almost the exact opposite of the manner in which his Bachelor love story quickly unfurled with Bushnell. So, suffice to say, Higgins' patience sounds like a pretty good strategy, overall.
