Fenty Beauty Only Has One Lip Product But Here's Why It's All You Need

It's here and it slays. Rihanna's Fenty Beauty is available now and the collection has been lauded for offering 40 foundation shades, making it a truly inclusive brand with options for all women. But Fenty Beauty is accessible on multiple levels — the products didn't sell out within seconds of dropping, either. Supply met demand, and makeupistas weren't shut out of the Fenty party.

The launch, which included glowing Killawatt Highlighters and the subtle Match Stix, proved that the brand is skin-focused. There are 91 total products in Rihanna's range, but Fenty Beauty offers only a single lip product ... for now.

Regarding additional Fenty Beauty lippies, Rihanna told Allure, "You'll just have to wait and see" and that there are "endless possibilities." Oh, Rih, you tease! That could mean future shades, formulas, and textures. But while we wait to see, Fenty lovers have a single lip product — a gloss — that's proven to be enough for all.

The Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer in Fenty Glow is a looks-good-on-everyone, rosy nude with striking shimmer and shine. Leave it to Rihanna to nix a variety of super velvety lippies or a precise matte range in favor of a standalone gloss. The singer and Puma creative director invents trends rather than hopping on any bandwagon.

Rihanna told to Allure that crafting a shade that suited all skintones was not an easy endeavor, saying, "I wanted a color that would work well on all skin tones, and, you know, it might've been a challenge, but I didn't care." Of course she kept going until she got it right. And, boy, did she.

She continued, "We had to switch things up a few times to get the right texture, the right smell, and it came down to this perfect rosy shade with a little bit of shimmer. It gives you something, but it doesn't look like you're doing the most. We'll do that later."

Rih basically says that the Gloss Bomb isn't meant to give you outrageous lips. It's subtle, sexy, and suitable for all looks. Look at how the shade absolutely pops against her caramel skin tone.

Check it out on the campaign's models of all different backgrounds, too. It's the true lippie unicorn because there is no skin tone or pout it doesn't flatter.

I can attest that Fenty Beauty's Gloss Bomb is worth the $18 per tube — and I'm speaking as someone who could wear a different lip shade for a year without repeats.

Consider this my official review.

Gloss Bomb has a supersized, doe-foot applicator, which makes swiping and going simple. The geometric shape is dope, too. It smells delish, like a peaches and cream candy.

It adds the right amount of rosy glow. It's pigmented but not opaque, like a melted liquid lippie.

I have incredibly fair skin, yet it didn't wash me out nor was it "meh," despite hardly being an adventurous hue. I was able to turn the volume up when it came to my pucker, and did so comfortably.

I'm not always in the mood to do a power, precisely painted matte mouth. That look can be slightly challenging for me, courtesy of a tiny scar on the right side of my top lip that I got from faceplanting. The scar makes lining my pout a tad frustrating, and a matte mouth never looks as neat as I prefer.

Ultimately, I loved the ease of having statement lips, without a lot of effort or drama. A coat of this on your lips and two coats of mascara on your lashes are all you will need on lazy makeup days.

You will still look glam AF with minimal product — and who doesn't love that sort of sexy simplicity?
