Early in February, Jamie Lynn Spear's daughter Maddie Aldridge was in a major ATV accident and was reported to be in critical condition. While at home in Kentwood, Louisiana, a Polaris off-road vehicle flipped into a nearby pond with Aldridge on board. Aldridge was wearing the proper safety gear, but the accident was extreme and rescue workers had to rescue her. Aldridge was airlifted to a nearby hospital, and was awake and talking a few days after the accident. The Spears family has been relatively quiet about the incident since but in a recent Instagram post, Jamie Lynn Spears confirmed Aldridge has fully recovered.

On Feb. 7, the Aldridge's family confirmed that Maddie was awake and talking. “With her father, mother and stepfather by her side, Maddie regained consciousness mid-day Tuesday, Feb. 7,” the hospital told People magazine in a statement provided by a Spears family rep. “The 8-year-old daughter of entertainer Jamie Lynn Spears was involved in an ATV accident at a family home Sunday in Kentwood, Louisiana. Paramedics resuscitated her and she was airlifted to a local hospital. She is aware of her surroundings and recognizes those family members who have kept a round-the-clock vigil since the accident.”

Fans and family alike were grateful to hear that Aldridge was on the mend. In an Instagram post on Saturday, Spears confirmed her daughter was recovered and well.

Spears captioned this selfie with a message for fans, saying, "So blessed to say that my daughter has fully recovered, and returned to all her normal activities [prayer emoji]. Which means I had to as well, today is my first day back to work [muscle emoji]. I want to thank everyone again for all their prayers...God truly blessed us with a miracle.. love y'all [heart emoji] #Godisgood" Not only had Aldridge recovered, she has returned to school and Spears returned to work.

We are so glad that all the Spears and Aldridge family prayers were answered. Maddie Aldridge is only 8 years old, but she seems to have recovered well and is even back to playing sports, according to People. Aldridge, whose father is Casey Aldridge, has been home since Feb. 10, and Spears was taking time off to care for her daughter, reported the publication. After the incident, Spears' also posted on Instagram to thank the first-responders who rescued Aldridge. "Thanks to the amazing first responders, and medical teams at University and Children's Hospital in New Orleans, LA, we are headed home with our baby girl as she continues to recover," Spears wrote on Instagram.

Last week, Spears also posted a quick video of Aldridge at a basketball practice to Instagram. Spears captioned the post "1st Basketball practice today [basketball emoji] #Godisgood [prayer emoji]". The accident doesn't seem to have slowed either Spears or Aldridge down, and it's such a relief to see the mother and daughter getting back to normal routines.
