After almost five years of marriage, Janet Jackson and Wissam Al Mana are reportedly splitting up. According to the Page Six report, the reason of the break is unknown, which isn't a shocker; throughout their relationship, the duo have tended to keep the details of their personal lives private. Bustle has reached out to Jackson's rep for comment, but hasn't heard back at this time.

Jackson and Al Mana, a Qatari businessman, have been married since 2012, when ET Online confirmed the following year that the two had wed in a private ceremony. "The rumours regarding an extravagant wedding are simply not true," the stars told ET at the time. "Last year we were married in a quiet, private, and beautiful ceremony." In September of 2016, Jackson announced she was pregnant with her first child; the couple's son Eissa was born in January.

If the report is true, it's sad to see Jackson and Al Mana split so soon after welcoming their child. Yet regardless of this alleged development, it's good to see that Jackson seems to be doing well in her life otherwise. People reported in February that the singer is enjoying motherhood and doing well, and that the star has been spotted out on several occasions shopping for baby Eissa.

According to the initial report of the potential split in the Daily Mail, Jackson will allegedly remain in her home city of London, and Eissa will stay with her. The report claims the alleged split was friendly, and that both Jackson and Al Mana will remain attentive and loving parents.

Neither Jackson nor Al Mana have publicly commented on the report just yet, and it's unlikely they will soon, considering how private they've been in the past. Hopefully they're dealing well, and focusing on parenting their young child.
