While making an appearance on the Today show to promote her new reality competition, World of Dance, Jennifer Lopez had a chance to share her thoughts on the nicknames fans have used when referring to her and Alex Rodriguez. Turns out, Lopez is a fan of "J. Rod," but doesn't approve of "A. Lo."

The Shades of Blue actor and Rodriguez began dating earlier this year after Lopez approached Rodriquez when she saw him out in public. Just a few weeks later, Lopez appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and shared all of the details about when she encountered Rodriquez at a restaurant. And I mean, literally all of the details, including what she was having for lunch that day.

Lopez and Rodriguez also made their first debut on the red carpet together when they attended the Met Gala on May 1. The two looked super adorable as they posed for cameras on the stairs leading up to the entrance of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

In an interview with Today hosts Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb, Lopez spoke about how much fun she and Rodriguez had at the Met Gala, and also shared her thoughts about the popular nicknames fans had come up with. Guthrie offered Lopez a chance to "make a public service announcement" and request that fans stop saying "J. Rod." Lopez responded by saying "No. I don't care. It doesn't matter. I mean, I figured something like that would happen."

When Kotb followed up by asked Lopez for her opinion on "A. Lo," Lopez responded and said, "Don't like that as much."

So there you have it, straight from Lopez's own mouth — she's OK with the name "J. Rod," but doesn't like "A. Lo." So let's all respect her feelings and hence forth agree to only refer to her and Rodriguez as "J. Rod." Either way, it's good to see Lopez is happy, and comfortable sharing details about her relationship with Rodriguez.
