Before she joined the cast of Real Housewives Of Atlanta, Kandi Burruss was a celebrity in her own right. And on June 25, the singer joined Xscape in performing at the BET Awards, as a part of the girl group's ongoing comeback.

Kandi, Tameka "Tiny" Harris, LaTocha Scott, and Tamika Scott reunited for a performance that got the crowd going and feeling super nostalgic for the good old days. The ladies looked better than ever before. Most importantly, they sound just as good as they did back in the group's prime. There was no auto tune or other performance enhancing effects. It was just four ladies showing off their powerful voices and absolutely killing it. It was definitely refreshing compared to a lot of the music today that can end up being overly produced.

According to Deadline, Xscape had three consecutive platinum albums. They split suddenly and remained apart (and with a lot of personal drama) over two decades. Now the women are back at it and are releasing a special called Xscape: Still Kickin' It to document their reunion, which coincides with their 25th anniversary of their first album's release. The reconciliation special will be on Bravo, of course, which makes perfect sense since Kandi is a Real Housewife.

It's so nice to see them back together, getting along, and slaying the game during a time when a girl group is much-needed on the radio — or maybe that's just a personal opinion.

Anyway, Xscape still have it. The BET Awards performance was fire and really owned the night. Their fans were really living for it, as you can tell from plenty of enthusiastic reactions on social media:

This girl group is back, even stronger than before. The longtime fans of Xscape must be happy to have them back, Burruss and her bandmates probably gained even more admirers thanks to that performance.
