As Katy Perry gears up to release her next album, the singer has started teasing new music on social media. With her next single, "Bon Appetit" featuring Migos, due out on Friday, and an amazing style transformation that includes a blonde pixie cut, the singer has several reasons to celebrate. Which is why it's such exciting news that Katy Perry will perform on Saturday Night Live's finale, alongside Dwayne Johnson. Clearly, Perry and Johnson on SNL will be a hilarious combination of performers to close out the season. But could Perry debut new music on Saturday Night Live's finale?

The singer posted a photo of the artwork for her new single on Twitter on Wednesday, with the caption, "Compliments of the chef." With Perry slated to appear on SNL on May 20, it seems likely that she'll perform "Bon Appetit" live on the show to promote the single. However, this finale would also be the perfect opportunity to give fans a bigger glimpse of the follow up to her last album Prism, which came out way back in Oct. 2013. The world is ready for more Katy Perry music — especially after the success of "Chained To The Rhythm." Like, I am so ready, guys.

This will be the singer's fourth appearance on Saturday Night Live. Her most recent was in Oct. 2013, when she performed two iconic songs from Prism, "Roar" and "Walking on Air". The episode was hosted by Bruce Willis and the pair's interactions were on point, including a slightly awkward moment in the promo when Perry revealed her bra.

Performing alongside The Rock, Perry's next appearance on SNL is sure to be every bit as hilarious as her previous performances. Plus, the singer's staunch political views will definitely find a home on the show, which has relentlessly roasted Trump's administration over the past few months. Perhaps Perry will even bring her BFF Hillary Clinton along for the SNL finale? Now, that would be spectacular.
