I've been catching glimpses of the Unicorn Frappuccino's pink and blue glory posted all over social media, but something about the blue drink just brings me back to some bad experiences with Blue Hurricane cocktail mix (which is a story for another day). But braver humans all over the country have been sharing their experiences with the limited edition beverage and one of the most famous pop stars in the world gave into the hype. Katy Perry tried the Unicorn Frappuccino and, well, she was not a fan.

Before you try this drink, know that it is very sweet. Starbucks describes its Unicorn Frappuccino as “made with a sweet dusting of pink powder, blended into a crème Frappuccino with mango syrup and layered with a pleasantly sour blue drizzle," so no, no actual unicorns are harmed in the process, but you might have a sugar rush like you've never had before.

Perry posted a Snapchat video of herself eager to try the drink, but instead spit it out and wrote the caption, "I couldn't handle drinking my own blood."

Honestly, I totally thought a Unicorn Frappuccino was very on brand for Perry, but I guess this is a situation of something being a little too close to home. If anyone reminds me of the mystical, horned creature, it'd be Perry with her pastel-colored wigs and and neon-tinged wardrobe. So, I suppose it does make sense that Perry drinking unicorn "blood" was just a little too weird, even for her.

In the end, the Unicorn Frappuccino seemed to be even a little too sweet for the pop queen of sugar, rainbows, and everything candy coated. I don't know about you, but if it was too sweet for Perry, I am inclined to think I won't be able to handle it either.
