Kesha's 2017 VMAs Dress Was Fit For A Princess

Kesha has often surprises her fans (aka "Animals") with her red carpet outfits. Anyone else remember when she rocked a Dumb & Dumber ensemble to the Kids' Choice Awards, proving she was not afraid of pops of color? Kesha's 2017 VMAs dress was a fluffy, blush-colored confection fit for a princess, thanks to the full, tiered skirt that looked inspired by another century. This appears to be the era of the softer, gentler Kesha fashions.

While MTV VMAs ensembles can be a bit more casual and funky, due to the wild nature of the ceremony, Kesha opted to go with a gown. That in and of itself was an unpredictable fashion move. She wasn't the only one, actually. Lorde also wore an eye-catching and thoroughly fancy gown with a feathered skirt to the event.

But back to Kesha's actual dress. The top had shoulder and arm coverings that can't really be categorized as sleeves, but they did resemble wings.

The singer's blonde hair was extra-long, spilling down her back and shoulders in loose, platinum, deep side-parted waves and a fishtail braid. She opted for smudged eyeliner and nude lips and it was gorj.

Given all that Kesha has dealt with in the past year, due to her much-publicized lawsuit with Dr. Luke, she has emerged stronger and as beautiful as ever.

Here's another angle.

Kesha's nose ring provided a punky contrast to her elegant and poofy dress. Notice there was also some fishtail braid action in her deconstructed 'do. Overall, this look was a complete win.
