What happens in Costa Rica apparently doesn't stay in Costa Rica. During a tropical family vacation, Khloé Kardashian and Kim Kardashian West got into a heated argument that resulted in Kim referring to Khloé as a "big bully." As someone who was bullied throughout elementary and high school for being gay, I personally find it a little off-putting that Kim would use the word so casually, especially in response to a family member's request to spend more time with her.

But hold on, let me give you a little more context. Earlier in the year, the Kardashians visited Costa Rica and filmed the vacation for Keeping Up With The Kardashians. In a recently released preview for the May 14 episode, Khloé expresses frustration at the lack of time she's been able to spend with the rest of the family, resulting in the disagreement. "It's just interesting how I don’t see you guys a lot and I take the time to come here thinking, 'Great, this is the time where I get to be with my sisters and my nieces and nephews and do all these things,'" she explains. "Kylie and Tyga are locked away in their room," Khloé insists, before explaining that her mother Kris Jenner and her boyfriend Corey Gamble "don’t like to do any activities."

After a brief back and forth, where Khloé refers to her family as "ungrateful," Kim goes off on Khloé, saying,

"You're so annoying. It’s like, shut the f*ck up! You're the negative one, just saying how awful we are. You're like a big bully that bullies all of us!"

You can check out a video of the argument between Kim and Khloé below.

I'm assuming "bully" probably wasn't the word Kim meant to say. Bullying isn't a lighthearted topic, and I imagine Kim didn't intend to use the word so casually. Especially since the Kardashians are known supporters of women's rights and the LGBTQ community. In fact, youngest sister Kylie Jenner even ran an anti-bullying campaign on Instagram a few years ago. So, I'm willing to give Kim the benefit of the doubt here.

Additionally, I can't really blame Khloé for wanting to spend more time with her family during a vacation. Though she may have expressed herself in a slightly aggressive manner, it seems to me that her intentions were genuine. I'm definitely optimistic that Kim and Khloé will be able to find resolve things, and I hope Kim is more cautious about using serious words like "bully" in such a casual manner in the future.
