Kim Kardashian has been through a lot over the past year, and Keeping Up With The Kardashians is only now beginning to scratch the surface, especially when it comes to her Paris robbery and the way that it affects her. And now that her break is over, it's time to resume public life — and it's definitely easier said than done. On Sunday night's KUWTK, Kim went to Dubai, and it was a huge adjustment from her private time off.

As someone who is far too invested in the Kardashians and keeping up with them, I can still remember how excited I was seeing Kim's first post-robbery tweet and Instagram post going live, and it seems like seeing her fans happy that she was back was one of her favorite parts of rejoining the social media world. And then, it was time for the next step: Her trip to Dubai. Accompanied by Scott and some of her friends, Kim made her first trip since the robbery for her makeup master class, and she said she felt really anxious being around so many people.

She went out to dinner, and people were constantly taking photos of her on their phones. And anytime she was out in public, she'd get completely swarmed. It's easy to see how overwhelming this would be, even if she hadn't been through a traumatic incident.

And the closer she got to her master class, the more nervous she became. Being surrounded by all those people just made her think of all the things that could go wrong, and she even started questioning how she could ever do a book signing or more public appearances ever again. But once she got out there and saw that her class went off without a hitch, she realized it wasn't nearly as hard as she thought and was just like it's always been for her.

It's great to see Kim doing so well, especially after everything she's been through. If you need me, I'll be seething with jealousy over everyone who got to attend that makeup class. I need Kim's contouring skills!
