I love a good old-fashioned surprising celebrity couple, but I have to say that this one took to me to the greatest heights of confusion. I thought I followed my celeb news pretty closely, but Page Six is reporting that Kirsten Dunst is engaged to Jesse Plemons. And while my first reaction was "WHAT?" my second was, "LANDRY!"

Yes, Kiki is possibly engaged to Landry from Friday Night Lights and my adolescent years are coming back to me.

A source claimed to Page Six the couple got engaged over Golden Globes weekend. Bustle has reached out to Dunst’s rep for comment, but did not receive an immediate response; Plemmons’ rep could not be reached at the time of publication.

I honest to goodness thought Dunst was still dating actor Garrett Hedlund, who, funny enough, was in the 2004 Friday Night Lights film. But, alas, Dunst and Hedlund split up in April 2016 and she was subsequently spotting kissing Plemons in Los Angeles, who was her on-screen husband on the show Fargo.

Actually, it looks like FNL has played a role in their relationship, and I kind of hope I can say the same for my next boyfriend since FNL is my favorite show of all time. In June 2016, Dunst and Plemons were spotted in Austin at the Friday Night Lights tailgate party, where Plemons was taking part in a reunion and Q&A with the cast.

And Dunst's connection with FNL doesn't even end there. In the past, Dunst has rocked a Dillon Panthers shirt. And back in October 2015, Dunst had an interesting anecdote about her time with gaining weight for her role in Fargo. She told Jimmy Kimmel, “I just sat in bed, watched Friday Night Lights, and, like, ate." Same.

Who knew she was such a big fan? Well, it seems almost like destiny that she'd end up with someone from the Dillon Panthers in some way, so if they are engaged, let's hope for a themed wedding and an invitation.
