Don't even try to keep your poker face on when you hear this news, Little Monsters. Lady Gaga is reportedly heading to Las Vegas for a 50 show residency, according to VitalVegas.com. While the deal has yet to be confirmed, it's rumored that the "Bad Romance" singer's show would be at the soon to be opened Park Theater at Park MGM. Bustle has reached out to reps for Lady Gaga and Park MGM for comment, but did not heard back at press time.

UPDATE: Lady Gaga confirmed her Las Vegas residency is happening in a tweet posted on Tuesday, Dec. 19. She wrote,

"The rumors are true! I will have my own residency at MGM’s Park Theater. Get ready for a brand new show!! It’s been my lifelong dream to be a Las Vegas girl, I’m so overjoyed! LOVE YOU LITTLE MONSTERS WE DID IT, MEET ME IN Las Vegas!! #LasVegasGoesGaga"

EARLIER: Reportedly, the 50 show deal could result in Lady Gaga being paid as much as $100 million. Given the singer's ability to draw a crowd, that would be money well spent for Park Theater. Gaga isn't the only big name who could be heading to the new venue. Perez Hilton reports that Park Theater will soon play host to the likes of Bruno Mars and Cher — which means the "Joanne" singer will be in good company if the deal goes through.

A residency seems like a logical next step for Gaga to take. Lady Gaga's Little Monsters are sure to follow the star wherever she leads, and having her in Las Vegas would be an amazing way to solidify her legacy as a music icon. Las Vegas has long served as a home away from home for some of the world's most talented musicians. Cher, Britney Spears, Céline Dion, and Mariah Carey all either currently have or have previously had residencies in the city. Joining a lineup of that caliber is nothing short of an honor.

Currently, Lady Gaga is on the Joanne world tour, and that could make the prospect of staying in one place for a little while even more tempting. After spending so much of her career on the move, the 31-year-old might relish the thought of putting down roots somewhere, at least for a bit. Add in the sheer creative force of Lady Gaga, and you have a recipe for a residency that could be a showstopping set piece that would allow the artist to let her stage presence and musical talent shine.

It's hard not to hope Lady Gaga's residency actually happens when you think about how legendary her concerts are. Las Vegas is a place of pure spectacle, and Lady Gaga's inventiveness could lead to shows that are larger than life in every sense of the phrase. The singer's latest album, Joanne, is Lady Gaga stripped down to the essentials, but at her best, she turns every part of her performance into a work of art.

Until Lady Gaga makes an official announcement this is all speculation, but the thought of her bringing her greatest hits to a Las Vegas residency is beyond exciting. Luckily, according to VitalVegas.com, an announcement could be coming as soon as this week.

Even if Lady Gaga doesn't end up with a Las Vegas residency, she won't be leaving the spotlight anytime soon. In addition to her world tour, Lady Gaga is also starring in A Star Is Born. The 2018 film is directed by and stars Bradley Cooper, and it features Lady Gaga as a young singer with a promising future. Gaga's Little Monsters may also see her at the Grammys on Jan. 28. The singer snagged two nominations for Joanne, which means she has an excellent reason to attend the ceremony.

One thing is certain, no matter what lies ahead for Lady Gaga, her career is showing no signs of slowing down. While Las Vegas would be lucky to have her (and her fans would no doubt be excited to have her there), Lady Gaga's 2018 is already looking bright — with or without a residency in her future.
