'Gilmore Girls' & The Oscars Collide

One of the reasons I love award shows so much is because of the possibility that several of my favorite stars will finally interact, and sometimes, it doesn't even require them all being in the same place. On Sunday night, before the 2017 Oscars, Lauren Graham, Milo Ventimiglia, and Lin-Manuel Miranda talked Gilmore Girls on Twitter, and their conversation is everything your little fangirl heart could desire, even if it was way too short. And if you love Gilmore Girls, Hamilton, or Moana, chances are you're freaking out just as much as I am right now.

It all started when Miranda tweeted about how his mom — who also happens to be his Oscars date, because how adorable is that? — was watching Gilmore Girls on her way to the awards, as you do when you're about to spend the evening at potentially the biggest event in Hollywood. In her defense, there probably was a lot of traffic, and what better way to pass the time than to catch up with Lorelai and Rory?

It didn't take long before Graham caught wind of this and replied, because sometimes the world really is a beautiful place. Please, join me as I die over this.

And as if that little interaction weren't enough, Ventimiglia also jumped in with a comment of his own.

Whether or not Miranda leaves the Oscars a winner is now irrelevant, because the real winner here is his mom. Not only is she at the awards, but she also got sent love by Lorelai and Jess? I'm officially jealous. I watch Gilmore Girls everywhere I go, too, guys. Where are my tweets?!

Now, there's only one question left that needs to be answered: What episode was she watching? Was it from the original series or the Netflix revival? I need to know. Miranda, update us soon, please.
