Lena Dunham's Inauguration Post Is Relatable AF

Some pictures are worth a thousand fetal positions, and one of those photos happens to be a screengrab of an Instagram story by Jenni Konner. After Friday's inauguration, Konner posted a video of fellow Girls showrunner Lena Dunham reacting to Donald Trump's inauguration, and Dunham Instagrammed a still of the short clip. If you happen to lean a certain way politically, you will probably relate to Dunham’s response to the Jan. 20 ceremony — whether you are a fan of the Girls star or not.

In the snapshot of Konner’s story, we see Dunham sitting on the Women’s March On Washington-bound Lenny Letter bus. She is curled up in the fetal position, a knit pink p*ssyhat pulled down in front of her face. Is she asleep or awake? Hard to say. Either way, I feel you, Dunham. (And Katy Perry probably feels you, too.)

Will crumpling into the fetal position solve or fix or change anything? No. Of course it won't. (I mean, at least I don’t think it will? But hey, life is weird, expect the unexpected, never say never, etc.) However, every now and again, the occasion calls for it. Sometimes, you just have to bend into a ball until your legs go numb, your palms get sweaty, your neck begins to ache, and you fall into a deep slumber. Sometimes, the fetal position helps you feel like you can face reality again. Sometimes, the fetal position is the quick recharge you need.

So yeah, I feel you, Dunham. And I bet there are plenty of others who do too.
