It appears that Valentine's Day is not over just yet, folks. So please brace yourselves for what's about to come, because Mariska Hargitay's "bae day" post is certainly going to give Law & Order: SVU fans all the feels. On Feb. 15, Hargitay shared quite possibly the belated best Valentine's Day gift ever — a reunion photo of herself with beloved former SVU cast member, Christopher Meloni. And just like that, Detective Olivia Benson and Detective Elliot Stabler are back together again.

Longtime sidekicks on the primetime drama, Meloni left the show back in 2011 after 12 seasons alongside Hargitay as her partner in (fighting) crime. Fans loved the partnership of Detectives Benson and Stabler, and many shipped the on-screen pair. Sadly, those wishes never quite came to fruition, as the show's executives decided to keep their relationship strictly platonic. Avid viewers were also disappointed by the fact that Detective Stabler was never given a proper goodbye amid his shocking departure, virtually leaving them with little to no closure to his character — until now, that is. Needless to say that the sweet reunion photo sent fans into a complete frenzy when it went up on Hargitay's Instagram account on Wednesday afternoon.

The 53-year-old actor captioned the sweet photo, "and then that happened... Just when I thought Valentine's Day was over," as followers literally went wild in the comment section below the nostalgic social media snapshot. According to E! News, the post received close to 35,000 likes in just 45 minutes.

And this isn't the first time the dynamic duo took a selfie together. Check out their 2016 Christmas selfie.

Back in early 2016, rumors began circulating that Meloni might be returning to reprise his role as Detective Stabler, which turned out to be false at the time. But, does this new photo mean there's still a chance? I'm certainly keeping my fingers crossed.
