The 'Gilmore Girls' Revival Could Continue

Last year, Netflix's Gilmore Girls revival ended with those four final words that fans had been waiting years to hear — but that might not be the end of the Stars Hollow story. According to Cosmopolitan, Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos confirmed that the service is looking into making more episodes of the Gilmore Girls revival on Netflix. The publication said that these are "very preliminary" talks with creator Amy Sherman-Palladino to bring back more Lorelai and Rory to TV screens. Bustle has reached out to Palladino's reps and to Netflix for comment, but did not hear back in time for publication.

Of course, this isn't 100 percent a go just yet, so you can hold off on the celebratory Pop Tarts and coffee for now. But Sarandos sounds like he'd like the streaming service to revisit Stars Hollow again — and sooner than later. "We obviously loved the success of the show, fans loved how well it was done, it delivered what they hoped," Sarandos told the Press Association, according to Cosmopolitan. "The worst thing is to wait a couple of years for your favorite show to come back and for it to disappoint you, but they sure delivered and people were really excited about more and we have been talking to them about the possibility of that."

Just the fact that Netflix is considering more Gilmore is great news for fans, considering that Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life ended with a four-word cliffhanger that has spawned fan theories and many more questions than ever before. Could a Gilmore Girls revival part 2 answer those questions? I sure hope so, because so much of Rory's professional and romantic future was left up in the air.

So keep your fingers crossed and keep the coffee warm, because the possibility of more Gilmore Girls is real.
