Nick Reunites With Andi & Kaitlyn Post-'Bachelor'

Bachelor Nation is one incestuous place, and when you’ve been on, like, 78 different seasons of the show like Nick Viall has, it’s easy to believe that there can be some awkward moments between former contestants. Take, for instance, you’re stuck on a talk show couch with two women who rejected you and broke your heart on national television. On Monday night, Bachelor Nick and his exes Andi and Kaitlyn were so awkward together on the Jimmy Kimmel special.

For those of you who don’t remember, Andi stopped Nick from proposing on her season of The Bachelorette because she was having bigger feelings for pizza-loving former athlete Josh Murray. Then, Nick came on Kaitlyn’s season of The Bachelorette in the fourth episode, blindsided all of the other contestants, and got to the finals, where Kaitlyn dumped him for personal trainer Shawn Booth (they at least are still together). Kimmel brought both ladies and Nick onto his show at the same time after the premiere of Nick's season, and, well, they all claimed they get along fine, but I think they doth protest too much.

Nick had this look on his face like “get Andi away from me” and Andi and Kaitlyn were basically sitting on top of each other so they didn’t have to be close to Nick. Plus, Andi just kept repeating how awkward it was, as if we couldn't all see it. I mean, the tension was palpable, and the rest of Twitter picked up on it, too.

I give credit to Andi, Kaitlyn, and Nick for at least pretending to get along for the interview. I think that Kaitlyn and Nick are probably OK, because nothing really happened between them post-show — he was just broken up with. Nick and Andi have had more recent drama in May 2016 when she wrote about intimate moments of their time on the show in her tell-all book.

In any case, the three made it through the interview alive, but I’ll bet that when the cameras shut off, these three went off in separate directions as quickly as possible.
