In what could not have been a better tweet, former President Barack Obama wished Joe Biden a happy birthday, in a true Biden way. A meme published to Obama's account on Monday afternoon offered a GIF of the former vice president interrupting the then-president mid-speech, complete with a caption:

ME: Joe, about halfway through the speech, I’m gonna wish you a happy birth--
BIDEN: IT’S MY BIRTHDAY!
ME: Joe.
Happy birthday to @JoeBiden, my brother and the best vice president anybody could have.

The tweet offers a presidential seal of approval to the often-shared "Biden memes," which generally show Biden interrupting Obama.

In a recent interview, Biden shared his own favorite memes of he and President Obama, telling NBC News, "All those memes, there are thousands of them out there, in essence, they're all true. We had that kind of relationship."

Biden and Obama continue to share a close relationship, one that was on full display during the Obama administration. In a surprise send-off in January, Obama awarded Biden the Presidential Medal Of Freedom, leaving the then-vice president (and audiences) in tears. At the time, Obama said the medal "gives the internet one last chance to talk about our 'bromance.'"

The birthday tweet has already garnered thousands of responses, most of them from people yearning for simpler times.

It's clear the bromance has lingered even after the two left office. Back in August, Biden took to Twitter to wish Obama a happy birthday, writing:

Your service has been a great gift to the country, and your friendship and brotherhood are a great gift to me. Happy birthday, @BarackObama.

In addition to his former boss, plenty of other, civilian well-wishers have also taken to Twitter with their own memes of "Uncle Joe."

Though he was rumored to be mulling his own presidential run in 2016, Biden ultimately decided against it, largely because of the death of his 46-year-old-song, Beau. But in recent months, the former vice president has re-ignited those rumors, and is said to be planning a move toward a 2020 run.

Biden, who turned 75 years old on Monday, released a new book last week entitled Promise Me, Dad: A Year of Hope, Hardship and Purpose, which offers glimpses into his life the year Beau, the former Delaware attorney general, died.

While promoting the book in Miami over the weekend, Biden offered a sharp rebuke of the current president, saying that the Trump era was "one of the most dangerous times in modern history."

Biden appears to have more respect for the current vice president, with NBC News reporting that he speaks to Mike Pence fairly often to discuss both foreign and domestic policy.

Biden's relationship with his former boss, meanwhile, bears a striking contrast to the seemingly strained relationship between current Vice President Pence and President Trump. While some reports have suggested tension between the two men and their staffs (who sources have said are "walled off" from one another), the White House has hit back against those claims.

Whether there's animosity between Trump and Pence remains unclear but it is likely that the two don't share the same type of relationship as Obama and Biden. Also certain? Pence's public persona isn't likely to elicit the same type of memes as Biden — in fact, most current Pence memes seem to be made at his expense.

Pence probably wouldn't get as much of a laugh out of the Biden memes as Biden himself. In fact, one of Biden's favorites — according to NBC News — makes light of the birther claims, a conspiracy theory popularized, of course, by Donald Trump.
