Anne Hathaway Looks Just Like Amal Clooney In 'Ocean's 8' & You Won't Be Able To Unsee It

Despite the fact that her husband is a major member of the beloved movie franchise, Amal Clooney is not in Ocean 8. If you're automatically nodding, since you knew that, there's a reason to make that fact very clear. As E! News and a few astute fans jokingly pointed out on Twitter, Anne Hathaway looks just like Amal Clooney in the new poster for the film, which dropped on Thursday, Dec. 14. Seriously, you're going to do a double-take when you see how much these two women look alike.

Considering the women-focused take on the Ocean's Eleven franchise features a lineup of Hollywood's most badass women — ranging from Rihanna to Sandra Bullock to Mindy Kaling to Awkwafina, and that's just the half of them — it would make sense that the human rights lawyer could find herself among them. And you know that fans would be so excited to see her on the big screen, especially since she's a force to be reckoned with IRL.

In reality, Hathaway is third in the poster line-up, showing how much she resembles Clooney with a serious pair of shades (which, admittedly, likely adds to the resemblance, since it covers her eyes). The hair also looks incredibly similar. It's the same shoulder-length 'do, with a bit of an effortless wave to it.

Some have pointed out that it appears the cast's the women of color are placed toward the back of the lineup in smaller slots. Although it's likely unintentional, it's hard to argue with that observation.

Despite the criticism, the general verdict is that most people couldn't be more excited for the upcoming movie. You'll just have to wait until next summer — June 8, 2018, to be exact — to see this badass team of women in action.
