Why People Think Beyoncé Is Having Twin Boys

I'm all for some crazy conspiracy theories — especially when Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston were dating — however, this one is taking things way too far. Before I get to it, allow me to say that if this particular theory turns out to be true, then I take back anything I am about to say and will listen to Queen Bey's fans from here on out — within reason. People think Beyoncé is having twin boys based on a pair of earrings she recently wore? Yes, you read that correctly.

The Lemonade artist shared new photos of herself in a smokin' outfit showcasing her gorgeous baby bump on her official website Monday, taken before she headed to her mother's husband's birthday. The pictures caught the eyes of many thanks to the earrings Bey chose to wear. Apparently these particular individuals remember everything the singer has worn in every music video, including a certain one from 2008. The earrings she's wearing are the same ones from her "If I Were a Boy" music video.

You know that means? She is having twin boys. Wait, what's that now? People seriously think the Grammy winner is having boys because of her earrings. (A rep for Beyoncé has not yet returned Bustle's request for comment on the theory.) The song has "boy" in the title, but that doesn't mean she is pregnant with boys. What if Beyoncé just thought the earrings went with her outfit? Or, what if she's one of those celebrities who likes to wear things more than once? Or, maybe she was feeling nostalgic? There could be so many different reasons behind why she chose to wear the earrings.

As you can see below, this person is clearly invested and is trying to connect all of the dots:

Really, people? Really? Earrings are not the determining factor of whether or not someone is having twin boys, twin girls, or one of each. Thankfully, I am not the only one who thinks this Beyoncé isn't trying to the tell world the sex of her twins with her earring selection:

This isn't the first conspiracy theory Bey has faced. Before announcing she is expecting twins, Beyhive members thought their favorite singer previously teased her pregnancy in secretive ways, like when she posed with a peace sign during the holiday season and when she "held her baby bump" in a few holiday photos.

There was also a conspiracy theory about Beyoncé losing Album of the Year to Adele at the 2017 Grammys. Or, all of these other crazy theories about the singer that are unbelievable, including the one where Beyoncé died in 2000 and was replaced by a clone. I know, I'm shaking my head in bemusement too.

Is there a chance she could soon welcome twin boys? Absolutely, but let's not hop on the earring conspiracy theory bandwagon all at once. I'd wear those earrings again, too. I mean, just look how fantastic they are on her!

Beyoncé probably knows how great she looks wearing them, which is why she's sporting them nine years later. Slay, Bey, slay.
