It didn't take long for Dean Unglert to become a fan favorite on The Bachelorette this season, so when the time finally came for Rachel Lindsay to send him home, it was such a sad moment. He had such pure, true feelings for Rachel that of course he was upset that he had to say goodbye, and now, he finally has the chance to get the closure he needs to move on. In a new clip from Monday night's Men Tell All, Dean and Rachel have their first conversation since she sent him home, and oh my god, it is just as heartbreaking as anyone could've imagined.

A couple of episodes ago, Rachel made the tough decision not to give Dean a rose after their hometown date. Instead of moving on to meet Rachel's family and to the overnight dates, Dean had to leave — despite the fact that he and Rachel had just admitted that they were falling in love with each other. Dean was pretty confused when he found out that he was the one who was leaving, and so were so many fans. How could she let this sweet, adorable guy go?

But now, Rachel is explaining her reasoning, and although what she says does make sense, it doesn't make it any easier to watch.

In the promo clip — which you can watch here — Rachel and Dean are face to face on the Men Tell All stage, and although we don't get to see their entire conversation until the episode airs Monday night, it's intense. Dean is obviously still hurt from what happened, and Rachel is ready to defend herself and her actions. Basically, he wants to know why she'd drop an L-bomb if she didn't mean it, and Rachel wants him to know that she did mean it, but that he still wasn't the right person for her.

According to Rachel, Dean's family didn't scare her off, and she totally meant it when she said she was falling in love with him. But Dean's response indicates that he doesn't totally understand what she's saying... and it gets so real that he decides to join her on stage. He said:

"I’m kind of still at a loss for words right now. I’m still confused about why you told me why you were falling in love with me and then I got the boot four days later ... They were almost words of consolation, to where you wanted me to feel comfortable in that situation."

If the clip, which is just over a minute long, is this hard to watch, there's a very good chance that Men Tell All is going to be even more painful. Dean seems like a great guy, and there's no question he'll find love again. But will fans end Monday night in a puddle of tears? Seems likely.
