Kyle Richards Doesn’t Want To Hear This Word Again

As she got her hair and makeup done before the Season 7 reunion, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards had an important declaration to make: “If I hear the word ‘PantyGate’ one more time, I’m going to cry.” (Big shoutout to Bravo for sharing this moment.) I’m right there with you, Richards. Alas, Richards probably heard "PantyGate" at the RHOBH reunion. And we will probably hear "PantyGate" when the RHOBH reunion airs. And no, I'm not happy about it. It's just so grody.

Way back on Episode 3, Erika Girardi opted to not wear undies underneath a Mugler dress. It really wasn’t a big deal… or so we thought. While most of the cast pretended to blush at this revelation, Dorit Kemsley and husband P.K. clutched their pearls. They clutched their pearls so hard, their pearls turned into a pile of dust and conflict. And in that moment, PantyGate was born.

PantyGate’s watershed moment: At another group outing, a still-scandalized Kemlsey presented a visibly embarrassed Girardi with a pair of underwear. Kemsley’s “joke” fell flat. Girardi was understandably upset that P.K. looked up her dress, that Kemsely didn’t pull her aside at the moment to let her know she was accidentally flashing the table, and that Kemsley decided to call her out on it in front of everyone else days later. For the next several weeks, we watched the cast fight about PantyGate no less than 700 times. But by some miracle, they eventually moved on. Enter: PillSmoothieGate, NearDeathGate, and ICannotRememberGate.

Oh, but PantyGate wasn’t actually gone for good. It was just hiding in one of the Beverly Hills Housewives’ Hong Kong-bound suitcases, waiting to pop up again when we least expected. Woo nelly, did PantyGate return with a vengeance on Monday’s episode. And like Richards, I did not miss PantyGate. Not one one bit. ‌ ‌

Don't get me wrong, I don’t mind Kemsley and Girardi hashing out their problems. Frankly, I could’ve watched them go back and forth on that junk boat and at that restaurant for hours. Truly exhilarating stuff. Can't wait to watch them interact at the Season 7 reunion. I just wish it wasn't about panties.

Woof, PantyGate is heinous.
