'Road Rules' Star Danny Dias Has Died

A member of the MTV Road Rules and The Challenge family is sadly no longer with us. Danny Dias died at age 34, TMZ reported Wednesday. According to Us Weekly, Dias was found dead in his Brooklyn apartment on Saturday, June 3. Us spoke with a New York Police PIO (Police Intelligence Operations) who revealed that authorities responded to a 911 call at around 5 p.m. last Saturday.

UPDATE: The NYPD released the following statement to Bustle: On June 5th at 5:45 pm concerned friends called police after not hearing from him for a couple of days. After gaining entry into the apartment they found a 34 year old male identified as Daniel Dias DOA ... The medical examiner will determine the cause of death."

EARLIER: "Police discovered a 34-year-old male unconscious and unresponsive," the PIO told Us in a statement. "The EMS responded and pronounced the male deceased at the scene. No criminality suspected at this time. The Medical Examiner is going to determine the cause of death. There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing."

E! News also spoke with police, who told the outlet that Dias' friends became worried after not hearing from him for a few days. As a result, they called 911. After entering his apartment, police discovered "a man identified as Daniel Dias dead." Per E!, police did not confirm that it was the MTV reality star.

According to TMZ, law enforcement sources told the outlet that Dias was at his apartment with a friend on June 3. The friend reportedly said that he saw Dias allegedly take LSD and mushrooms. Soon after, the friend claims Dias ran into his room and the friend never saw him again. Over the next two days, the friend claims he couldn't get a hold of Dias, so he went to Dias' apartment, where he found him dead.

TMZ also reports that they're "told" police are treating the situation as a possible suicide.

Fans may recognize Dias from Season 13 of Road Rules, which aired in 2004. He also appeared on The Challenge in 2005. You can watch his introduction from the first episode of his Road Rules season above. He appears around the 2:12 mark.
