Over the last year, Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna's relationship has been turbulent, to say the least. They went from engaged to new parents to split up to everything in between, and even now, it sounds like things are still complicated between them. On Sunday night's new episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Rob struggles with his relationship with Chyna, and even though they're not together anymore (at the time the episode was filmed, anyway), all he wants is to have a good friendship with her for the benefit of their daughter.

The good news: After how much we've seen him struggle on KUWTK and Rob & Chyna, it seems like Rob is pretty happy these days. The episode featured him working out, talking excitedly about Dream, and goofing off with Scott. The one thing he was upset about? Being unable to communicate with Chyna now that they aren't romantically involved anymore, even when it has to do with their kiddo.

To break the ice, Rob went to see her at a shoot she was doing. She wasn't phased at all by seeing him, even though their conversation was super awkward. The tension made them both uncomfortable, and it showed.

Unfortunately, the visit didn't do much to make Rob feel better, because he felt "unwelcome." His next step was talking to Kris, who usually dispenses pretty good advice even if she is known for getting wrapped up in a crazy scheme or two from time to time. Kris told him that her friendship with his dad didn't come easy, but encouraged him to keep at it and told him he'd raise an amazing daughter. How sweet is that?

This is why I want to join this family, y'all. Kris is the best.

In the end, Rob and Chyna managed to come together to go to Dream's doctor's appointment together, and it seems like they're on the right track. Hopefully, they'll be able to keep things civil for her. She's the most precious baby, so I'm glad to see they're working things out.
