If you were too busy with family and eating all of the holiday cookies to check social media, then you might have missed the news that Jersey Shore's Ronnie Ortiz-Magro is going to be a dad. Us Weekly confirmed the news Dec. 24 that not only is the former MTV reality star and his girlfriend, Jen Harley, expecting their first child together, but that they are having a girl. Ortiz-Magro told the publication that Harley is six months pregnant and that even though "every guy wants a boy" he's "used to being around girls" thanks to his sisters.

The 32-year-old Famous in Love star took to Instagram Tuesday expressing his excitement over this next stage of his life. Next to a photo of Ortiz-Magro kneeling next to Harley's baby bump, he wrote,

Thank you to everyone who has been supportive with advice & encouragement. People keep saying becoming a parent is the part of life. I’ve been blessed enough to have SOO MANY best parts of my life #NotSureIfThatMakesSense I couldn’t be more excited to be taking this next step in my life!

He also incorporated several hashtags explaining what he's heard babies do, including "#IHearItsLikeHavingAPuppy #ExceptItCries #Talks #EventuallyDrives #EatsEvery2Hours #Sh*tsEvery23Minutes #Naps40TimesADay #Needs4DifferentEducations #GoesToProm #YepICanSeeHowItsLikeHavingAPuppy". It's good to see that he isn't freaking out (yeah, right, but totally normal).

Of course, Jersey Shore fans are reacting to the news that Ortiz-Magro is going to be a dad. Some are overjoyed, while there are others who are beyond shocked, speechless, or just plain upset that his ex-girlfriend (they dated on and off for eight years) and co-star Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola isn't having his baby. Basically, there are a lot of reactions and below are a few.

All Of The Congratulations

It's a happy time for many.

Going Into 2018 With A Bang

At least 2017 is ending on a good note for some.

According to Us, Oritz-Magro and Harley started dating in early 2017 after he broke up with Keeping Up With the Kardashians star and Khloé Kardashian's best friend Malika Haqq in February.

While chatting with Us in November, he opened up about Harley. "Yes — we are serious." He added, "She is the first person I finally really fell in love with. I want to settle down and have a family; she is that person for me." At the time of the interview, he even said they've talked about marriage. He dished, "We think about it. One day I am in Vegas and the next day I am on The Shore again. So yes, we think about it, but right now things are good."

Based on the following Instagram from him, it certainly sounds like he's head over heels in love with her.

Unlike Harley, who has an 11-year-old son, the Famous in Love star doesn't have any children and will soon become a first-time dad. Though, he's lucky enough to look to his Jersey Shore co-stars for advice. "They all went through different experiences, which is great," he told Us. Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Paul "Pauly D" Delvecchio, and Jenni JWoww" Farley all have children. Polizzi has two, Delvecchio has one, and Farley has two, so they definitely know about parenting.

Seeing as the Jersey Shore cast is reuniting for a 2018 reboot titled Jersey Shore Family Vacation, there's a chance fans will even get to see Ortiz-Magro playing dad to his baby girl. Now that's something to look forward to, in addition to all of his Instagrams of his daughter.
