There has been so much speculation about the relationship between Wells Adams and Sarah Hyland. They haven't come out and said that they are a couple, but the writing is on the wall — or at least on the Twitter timeline. And now, Hyland has proved that she has a sense of humor when it comes to all of the attention surrounding her status with Adams by quoting her own tweet about The Bachelor from years ago, before she even met him.

Hyland has not been shy about being a Bachelor super fan throughout the years, live tweeting her reactions to the episodes and her opinions about the contestants. In fact, she is actually such an avid fan that this isn't the first time that people have wondered if she was dating one of the contestants from The Bachelorette. However, this is the first time that it seems like she actually is dating one of them.

Ironically enough, the Modern Family star went out of her way to clarify that she was not seeing any of the men from The Bachelorette all the way back in 2012. She has not done that in this case so that is further (kind of, sort of) confirmation that she is really dating Wells.

In 2012, Hyland tweeted, "Those who think I have a thing for any of the guys on the bachelorette? Think again and stop reading into things i say! I'm simply a fan." She is obviously a fan, but she is "not simply a fan" these days.

On Monday, Hyland poked fun at that old tweet by quoting it and adding "Whoever went 5 years back in time to find this? Thank you. Havin a real good laugh at the moment" along with a laughing to the point of tears emoji.

Hyland and Adams have not officially confirmed that they are a couple, but they've been very couple-y on social media recently. They coordinated Stranger Things Halloween costumes, which screams "couple" in general, but it was also a big deal since she lives is in Los Angeles and he lives in Nashville. The costumes and the traveling take time and effort.

Hyland even bragged that Adams "puts up with" her in a caption for a super cute photo she shared on Instagram Sunday. That sounds like a girlfriend talking, doesn't it?

Nowadays, it looks like Hyland has gone from fanning out over Adams on the show to being his girlfriend. It seems like she's been crushing on him since his days on JoJo Fletcher's season of The Bachelorette back in the summer of 2016, since she tweeted twice about his commentary on the Men Tell All special.

The 26-year-old also made it clear that she was happy to see Adams back on Bachelor in Paradise as the bartender for Season 4 of the show this summer. It's possible that she was happy to see him back on TV again but without him going out on dates with any of the contestants, or maybe she was just happy to hear his hilarious commentary on the rest of the cast. Either way, she's obviously been a fan of his for a while.

But Adams isn't the only Bachelorette star who Hyland has tweeted about. She's been a fan of the show for a long time.

She Was Enamored By Peter

Who didn't think Peter Kraus was perfect during Season 13 of The Bachelorette. Well, maybe Rachel Lindsay, but Hyland was on board with the rest of the fandom who loved everything about the silver fox.

She Was Upset When Nick Viall Showed Up On Kaitlyn Bristowe's Season

Hyland had a lot of strong feelings when Nick Viall returned as a suitor on The Bachelorette.

She Defended Ben Z. From The Dog Jokes

Unlike the women on Bachelor in Paradise Season 4, Hyland understood the appeal of Ben Zorn and his love of dogs.

She Was Rooting For Brooks Back in 2013

Just like many people watching Season 9 of The Bachelorette, Hyland was rooting for Brooks Forrester to win Desiree Hartsock's final rose at the end. It even seemed like Hartsock was pulling for him to win, but he infamously quit the competition when he was in the top three.

A lot of people watch The Bachelor franchise and get super invested in the cast members and even crush on them from their couch at home, but Hyland made many Bachelor fanatics' dreams come true by, seemingly, turning her reality TV crush into her real life boyfriend. Obviously, Hyland is not dating Adams because he is a part of the Bachelor franchise, but she did "get to know" him before they even met thanks to his appearances on The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise. That's a pretty cool way to start dating someone.
