2017 has been a year fraught with surprising celebrity breakups. Life has its ups and its downs, but at least one thing is constant: The love that Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. have for one another. Early this week, Gellar posted a 15-year anniversary video that proves why they're still everybody's favorite '90s couple. No, scratch that. They're one of the best celebrity couples of all time.

It's hard to believe that the two met a full 20 years ago — and on the set of 1997's I Know What You Did Last Summer, no less. The '90s nostalgia is strong with them. And, while they weren't an official, public couple until a few more years after that, they're already celebrating 15 full years of wedded bliss. That's 15 years of Sarah Michelle's perfect blowouts, of Freddie's steamy stubble, and Daphne/Fred Scooby-Doo movie fan fiction. (Maybe. Probably. Just a guess.)

As much as the two are a blast from the past, they're much more than just everybody's favorite '90s couple. Prinze Jr. has continued to perform — mostly voiceovers, and some surprising ones at that — and when Gellar (legally Prinze!) isn't charming fans on social media, she's been acting as well. They even work on projects together. It's too much.

Here's the video Gellar posted to social media, in all its glory:

"My husband thinks I'm crazy, but I'm not the one who married me," she wrote, causing a meltdown by fans everywhere. The scrapbook of their time together is too sweet. Their outfits! The PDA! Awkward posing! Gorgeous celebrity couples — they're just like everyone else. If everyone else were also the son of a famous comedian and the star of an internationally renowned sci-fi series.

But really, though, it's so encouraging to see a couple like this stay together. As exciting as celebrity gossip can be, it's rough to be emotionally invested in a couple that doesn't make it. Gellar and Prinze Jr. keeping their relationship low-key probably keeps them out of headlines. Maybe, though, that's a good thing. Everybody's favorite '90s couple has lasted through 2017 for a reason.

They both look so in love, and so good. How does this pair do it? When will they share their secrets, or at least more pictures of their two adorable children? On their 16th wedding anniversary, hopefully.
