This Shiseido Skincare Suite Takes Inspo From Food

It's commonly accepted knowledge that what you eat affects your skin — what you put into your body can manifest outwardly. That said, Shiseido's new WASO Skincare Collection is inspired by food — specifically by Washoku, which is traditional Japanese cuisine. Mmm! Delish, right? Many skincare products and brands take inspo from food, like the entire Yes To brand or the bakery-inspired scents that fill the shelves and the air at Bath & Body Works.

So it's not an entirely novel idea. But how do these eats inspire this particular skincare range? Oh, it's a beautiful thing.

The products are ridiculously chic and don't look like you mixed them up with a blender from items stocked in your fridge or your kitchen! The execution is much more elegant.

According to the press materials received by Bustle, the WASO suite of skincare products was designed to address the specific needs of millennials, including but not limited to dry or oily skin and visible pores. The collection's ingredients rely on the whole plant cells of Japanese food and botanicals and promote healthy skin.

Here's the basic breakdown of the collection, which is comes in minimalist packaging and feature all sorts of skin-loving items. If you want to splurge on some new skincare treats, you'd be doing yourself a favor by starting with this collection.
